Notes for Katherine Ellis “Kate” Love
Kate Ellis Love & William (Will) Cornelius O'Leary were married in the Great Southern Hotel in Meridian, Mississippi. The couple were afraid that their parents would not allow this marriage because Will was Roman Catholic and Kate was the daughter of a Presbyterian minister.
The marriage lasted and the couple were devoted to each other. Sadly Will died in Nashville, Tennessee while his family was at Sleepy Hollow. There was no phone there and notifying the family of Will's death took some time.
Katherine joined the Catholic Church and no longer went by Kate but from then on went by Katherine. They are together forever now and buried in Saint Patricks Catholic Church Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi.11
