Notes for William Cornelius “Will” O’Leary
William Cornelius O'Leary was the 3rd child of Cornelius William O'Leary and Ellen Frances Bledsoe O'Leary. He grew to manhood in Meridian, Mississippi where the family lived. He met and fell in love with Katherine (Kate) Ellis Love. The couple eloped to marry in the Great Southern Hotel in Meridian. He went to work for his brother following a short time selling shoes, which Kate enjoyed because his samples were always her size. While working in Nashville, Tennessee he became very sick and died. His body was returned to Meridian and buried at St. Patrick Cemetery.11
