The first known recorded burial was that of Mary Smith, wife of Captain John Smith, a tenant farmer. Mary Smith was the daughter of James Bill, one of the first permanent residents of Pullin Point (Winthrop). John and his 2nd wife, Mary (Bill) Smith had a daughter Phoebe (1673 - 1753). Phoebe married a John Brintnall (b. 1672, Boston, MA) in 1690.

He married (1) at Roxbury, 1 Aug 1647, Catherine Morrill, daughter of ISAAC MORRILL {1632, Roxbury}.

He died at Revere, 21 Sep 1706.11
