N.Y., ca. 1796 ISAAC* EDsON, son of John and Judith (Shaw) Edson, b. at Bridgewater, Mass., 6 Dec. 1770 (Vital Records of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, 2 vols. [Boston, 1916), 1:102), d. at Machias, Cat-taraugus Co., N.Y., 21 Aug. 1844. He went to Milford, 1793, according to Ezra Stevens's manuscript history of the town of Milford (Carroll Andrew Edson, ed., Edson family history and genealogy, 2 vois. (Ann Arbor, Mich., 19697), 2:642). He was in Milford, 1800, with one maie 26-45, one male 10-16, one female
16-26, and two females under 10. He deeded to Moses Ford, 24 Dec. 1805, 38% acres in Milford for S600 (Otsego Co. Deed Book G:371); moved two miles west to Edson's Corners, Milford. Sarah left. isaac ca. 1804 or 1805 and got a divorce. He m. (2) in N.Y..
