Notes for Isaac Edson II
Issac and Annie Mary immigrated to Harrison County, Missouri with other members of the family, arriving in 1855. They took land grants, and built one of the first frame, two-story houses in the county, between Bethany and Brooklyn.

Issac enrolled at Topeka, Kansas, March 25, 1862 in Co. G, 6th Regiment of Calvary Volunteers, Missouri State Militia. He was Honorably Discharged April 20, 1865, Springfield, Missouri. At the time of his discharge he had reached the rank of Sargeant.

Some time around 1874, Issac moved to the town of Eagleville and opened a general store. In 1878 Isaac and his family immigrated to Greenfield, Rooks County, Kansas. Here he built a fine stone house. This was their home until they moved to Woodston, Kansas in 1901.173
