Notes for Samuel Bartlett
His first wife was Mary Bridgeman Bartlett, and his second wife was Sarah Baldwin Bartlett, whom he married 21 May 1676 in Northampton. Samuel's first wife, Mary Bridgeman, died under suspicious circumstances, which led to witchcraft charges being brought against Mary Bliss Parsons, wife of Joseph Parsons, the richest man in Springfield. Mary Parsons was acquitted of the charge.
He was the son of Robert Bartlett and Ann ___ Bartlett of Hartford, Cambridge, and Northampton. Robert Bartlett arrived on the "Lyon" from England in 1632.
