Son of James and Hester Vernon. Married Elinor, daughter of John and Margaret Minshall of Grappenhall, County Cheshire; in County Lancaster, England on May 20. 1678. Father of Isaac Vernon Sr. Arrived in Pennsylvania around the age of 37 probably on the ship Bristol Factor. The three-story stone house he built in 1690 still stands today.
