Marion Fairbrother & Josephine Newby were married Nov. 16, 1942 @ Wichita, Sedgwick, KS. They divorced. Then Josephine Newby Fairbrother married 2nd, Russell Cole, April 16, 1966, @ Kansas Wesleyan Univ. Chapel, Salina, KS. When Russell past away Josephine moved to Santa Barbara, California to live with her daughter JoAnn Fairbrother Mermis, where she continued her occupation as nurse until she retired. It is unknown whether or not Marion remarried. Marion's cause of death is ironic since he attended Alcoholics Anonymous; he was killed by a drunk driver.
