He was the son of Samuel S. and Hephzibah Gates Whipple whose burials are unknown as of July 5, 2017.
He had seventeen children with his first wife and five with his second wife as well as step children.
The amazing size of this family was cited in the book "The Antecedents and Descendants of Noah Whipple of the Rogerene Community at Quakertown, Connecticut (Ithaca, N.Y.: J.M. Kingsbury, 1971), written by Clara McGuigan who was a granddaughter. 21 of these children were raised to adulthood.11
