Notes for John Waterhouse
He was the son of Jacob, Jr and Ann (Douglass) Waterhouse of New London, Connecticut. He bought land east of the Thames River in what later was known as Ledyard and settled there from New London about 1720. A large number of descendants still inhabit the area today.11
