Notes for Andreas Peterson “Andrew” Longacre
Second son of Anders Petersson Longacre, progenitor of the Southern & Western Longacres. Born in Kingessing.
We have surveys of land in the Kingessing area in 1736, where Andrew & his brother Peter seemed to have divided up the land their father & mother owned.
Since the family belonged to the church at Gloria Dei, we are assuming he and his wife Elizabeth were buried at Gloria Dei. In the book Colonial records of the Swedish Churches in Pennsylvannia, Vol 4, page 334 it is stated that he is buried in Gloria Dei.
Newspapers of the day had his death date as 1738 or 39.

Request of Andrew and Peter Longoker to resurvey and divide 200 acres of land at Siamessing, 2nd month, 5th day, 1736, page 77; ibidem, page 81; patent to Andrew Longaker for 140 acres in Kingsess, Philadelphia Co., an old Swedes' grant, 8th day,
7th month, 1736-same vol., page 81, Peter Longoker presented draft of about 40 acres of Swamp Cripple, or meadow, lying in Kingsess, next to the Schuylkill, desiring confirmation of the same, etc.
