James Watts, born 2 Apr 1772, was named Justice of Peace in Crawford Co. on 7 Aug 1818. In 1819 he was appointed a(s) Commissioner to help establish a seat of justice for the County of Clark being formed from a portion of Crawford County. James died in Crawford County before 1827, leaving descendants here to the present day.
