Number: W 754 ~ B L Wt 34.541-160-5511Adam Harmon listed on Washington Co, Tn tax list of 1819 with 230 acres.
According to a memo from Fay Hoodock on GenForum, there is a historical marker near the Greene Co line west of Johnson City, Tn that says "The Adam Harmon Farm". Also Washington Co. Will book A 1770-1860: Adam Harmon, 13 April 1833: To wife, Barbara; Sons: Conrad, Jacob, Ira John Harmon; Daughters: Susanna, Sally and Elizabeth (minors) and Margaret McNeal. Exec's Wife Barbara. Witnessed with an "X" for Adam Harmon's signature which indicates that he could not write. Marks were also used for witnesses, Augustus Grahl and Ira Harmon. Will proven by oath of Ira Harmon. Grahl had removed and his writing was proven by John Ryland, June term 1844.13
