Notes for Johanna Julia Floerke
From information conveyed to Benedict Neenan by Mildred Imel Neenan: Her mother was born Johanna Julia Floerke (born June 1840 in Germany, died 26 February 1926). According to her obituary, she emigrated to St. Louis in 1855 and moved to St. Joseph in 1880. She married Vesterling (or Vasterling), and had two daughters: Louisa Vesterling and Dorothea Johanna Julia Vesterling. Louisa married John Kunz and had five sons: Clarence, Walter, Herbert, John and Henry. The Kunz men were first cousins of Mildred Imel Neenan; they lived in California and visited Jim and Mildred Neenan occasionally.2
